Dr. Helena Torrez (Born on April 2) is a surgical resident in Tell Me Why by Dontnod Entertainment. After becoming a victim of the mailbox thief, Dr. Torrez is called in to provide a statement to Police Chief Eddy Brown.

Appearance

Dr. Torrez is a woman with short, brown hair and moles above her left eye and to the left of her chin. She wears a thick brown vest over a light blue sweater, jeans, and brown knee-high boots, as well as black leather gloves.

Early life

Dr. Torrez shares partial custody over her six-year-old daughter, Isabella, with her ex-husband, who holds primary custody due to Dr. Torrez's work hours. She is a surgical resident at one of the only hospitals in the region, Cottonwood Hospital, which is located a long commute away from her home in Delos Crossing.

According to her statement, Dr. Torrez's mailbox was vandalized by the town's infamous mailbox thief. On the morning of Isabella's weekend visits, Dr. Torrez awakened at 5AM and woke up her daughter an hour later in preparation for Mr. Henderson picking her up at 6:30AM. During breakfast, the two were exiting the house to retrieve last night's mail when Isabella witnessed the thief fleeing the scene, whom she described as "a little kid wearing stripes" around her size.

At 6:13AM, Dr. Torrez called the police to report the crime. She describes the damages as the mailbox's broken lock, her snow-damaged mail, and a torn-apart box sent by her cousin, who owned an artisan chocolate start-up. Officer Vincenzi arrived at 6:29AM, and Dr. Torrez left shortly afterwards to make it to a surgery at 9AM.

Chapter 2: Family Secrets

During Alyson and Tyler Ronan's search for answers, Dr. Torrez is found giving a statement to Eddy regarding the mailbox thief at the station. After the twins briefly interrupt them, Dr. Torrez resumes her statement. After the break-in and a conversation with Eddy, Dr. Torrez is gone by the time the twins return downstairs.

Chapter 3: Inheritance

Dr. Torrez returns to the station the next day to report her capture of the mailbox thief, who turned out to be a wild raccoon. Her conversation with Denise Wilson can be eavesdropped upon by Alyson, where she describes her use of a homemade catch pole and reveals that she sustained a scratch that she needs to visit the hospital for. Afterwards, she exits to the parking lot, where she intends to hand over the captured raccoon to the police before leaving for work.
