Leo Ronan (December 2nd, 1992 – January 31st, 1993) was the son of Mary-Ann Ronan and the older half-brother of Alyson and Tyler Ronan. Mary-Ann was pregnant with Leo at some point in 1992. Leo died as an infant and Mary-Ann buried him under a tree near the old house.
Tyler and Alyson did not learn of Leo until after Mary-Ann's death. It appears Mary-Ann's friends in Delos Crossing did not know of Leo either. Both Eddy Brown and Tessa Vecchi state they didn't know Mary-Ann's whole story but that it was obviously painful.
"The Princess's Loss" is a story Mary-Ann wrote for the Book of Goblins detailing the wise princess' love for and loss of her tiara (her "greatest treasure") that parallels Mary-Ann's loss of Leo. After reading this story to the twins, she stores the pages in the barn loft.
